Spencer Bachus announces REALTOR® support for U.S. House Re-election bid

U.S. Representative Spencer Bachus announced support today from RPAC, the political arm of the National Association of REALTORS®, following a unanimous recommendation and endorsement from the Alabama Association of REALTORS® PAC trustees. In a statement, Alabama Association of REALTORS® PAC Chair Hal Tillman cited Congressman Bachus’s hard work on housing issues during his tenure in Congress as the primary reason for their support.

"Rep. Bachus has been a strong advocate for REALTORS® and homeowners, including leading the charge for responsible reform of the mortgage finance system to ensure affordable, long-term financing is available to prospective homebuyers while protecting taxpayers and correcting past problems. It is a credit to his leadership that the Alabama housing market has started to show signs of recovery,” said Tillman.

The 6th Congressional District has been served well by Spencer Bachus and our real estate industry benefits from his leadership as chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services,” Tillman said.  “In these difficult economic times we need a Congressman with the experience and knowledge Spencer brings to the table.  For these reasons, we continue to support Rep. Bachus for Congress.”
