Birmingham Airport Receives $4.5 Million
WASHINGTON- Congressman Spencer Bachus is pleased to announce that the Birmingham Airport Authority will receive $4,569,954.00 in federal grant money.
This grant will provide funds to continue the expansion of the air-cargo apron, which is currently too small to accommodate the increasing demand of air cargo carriers currently using the Birmingham International Airport.
"This grant will greatly increase the capacity of the Birmingham Airport to serve the nation's air-cargo providers. Modernizing and improving the infrastructure of the Birmingham Airport to better serve everyone who uses it has always been a priority of mine," said Congressman Bachus.
This grant was authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration, which is an agency of the United States Department of Transportation.
